Happy ONE Year Anniversary to us!!
It’s hard to believe, but we (Josh and I) are celebrating ONE YEAR since we launched SkyLia Vinyl Designs! It’s been a whirlwind of creativity, learning, and some seriously groovy vibes, and we couldn't have done it without YOU—our amazing customers, supporters, and vinyl-loving community. Keep reading to grab your THANK YOU FOR ONE YEAR special!
A Wild Ride from the Start
When we launched our very first product, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into—creating and designing vinyl accessories was exciting but no easy task. In just seven months, we launched not one, not two, but FOUR products! And let me tell you, figuring out how to do all this as a small business entrepreneur meant juggling everything from product design to business management, oh and while also working in corporate America and of course the wonderful things that comes with being a mom. It’s been a huge challenge, but totally worth it!
The Vinyl Community: Our People!
The vinyl record community has been one of the best parts of this journey. Seriously, we’ve met some of the nicest, most supportive people through this shared love of music and records. A big shoutout to the influencers who’ve partnered with us and helped spread the word about our products, the customers who have shared their reviews. (I think future blog post is needed to give shout-outs to my amazing influencers!) Your support has been a huge part of our success! (ok, seriously... do you even realize how important reviews are to a small business???).
Big Milestones Along the Way
Over the past year, we’ve accomplished so much more than we ever imagined. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights:
- Launched SkyLia Vinyl Designs with our first product on Amazon, and now we’ve expanded to four products (and counting!).
- Created our SkyLia Vinyl Designs website and launched our fulfillment of our products right from our own home.
- We went Social with launching our TikTok, Instagram and Facebook pages and the shops to accompany them. Allowing us to not only stay connected with you but offer even more ways to share our products.
- We were approved to sell wholesale on Faire Market—a major win for us!
- We made the leap into brick-and-mortar record stores and now our products are available in 9 record stores across the country. Let me tell you, walking into that first store and getting a deal was such a surreal and exciting moment!
Looking Forward: What’s Next?
So, what’s in store for SkyLia Vinyl Designs as we head into our second year? Well, we’ve got big plans! We’ll be launching on Etsy soon, offering vinyl lovers not only another way to grab our products, but we are also working on a process to allow custom, special order record dividers!
We also aim to:
- Expand to 20 record stores across the country—fingers crossed! (maybe you can help by talking us up to your local record store?)
- Triple our social media following on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook (we’ve got some fun ideas in the works, so stay tuned!).
- Continue rolling out more groovy products that you’ll love!
